Between the different shapes of nails, it’s (very) difficult to choose. Rounded, square, almond-shaped or stiletto? The question is, what shape should you choose for your nails? We’ll help you make your choice based on your hands, the natural shape of your nails and your tastes.
Round nails
This shape is ideal for short nails. On the other hand, if you have small fingers or large hands, this shape is likely to compress the length of your fingers even further. This is a shape that will suit you if you have slender hands. Round nails are easy to care for and are often the unanimous choice, and for fragile nails they’re ideal because the risk of breakage is reduced.
Square nails
A shape that adds a sophisticated, glamorous touch to your hands. Square nails elongate the fingers and suit most hands. However, opt for this shape if your nails are strong, as the risk of breakage is increased, especially if you wear long nails. The edges must be parallel, which requires more maintenance. For greater comfort and to limit the risk of breakage, you can slightly round off your square nails.
Square-round nails
Whatever the length of your fingers, this shape will enhance your hands. If you have brittle nails and want to maintain length, the square-around shape is the one for you.
Almond-shaped nails
The almond shape is very feminine, lengthening your fingers, and the longer your nails, the better the effect. Almond-shaped nails are the perfect shape to give free rein to your creativity! If the edges of your nails are parallel, the square shape is right for you, but if the edges narrow, the almond shape is perfect for your hands.
Oval nails
Elegant, finger-lengthening and low-maintenance. If you let your round nails grow, you’ll get oval nails.
Stiletto nails
An original shape that will amaze many! Pointed nails are very pretty on long, slender fingers, but this shape is not recommended if you have small nails, as it would not be harmonious. Don’t dig into the edges too much, or your nails may break at the slightest impact.
What’s up? Which nail shape do you prefer?
